You don’t have to do this alone; there are charities that help with medical bills.

When your child is sick or hospitalized, you want to devote as much time and attention to them as you can. And you’ll do whatever it takes to help them feel better. But insurance doesn’t always cover the expenses. Fortunately, there are charities that help with medical bills and other bills related to medical expenses.01-Amazing Charities That Help With Medical Bills-01

Copays, deductibles, and medications add up quickly. The good news is that there is help available. Throughout the U.S., you can find charities that help with medical bills, transportation and lodging costs, as well as other financial obligations that arise. You don’t have to deal with medical expenses by yourself.

At Cameron’s Crusaders, our mission it to provide support to people in this struggle. And we are just one of many charities that help with the financial obligations that insurance doesn’t cover. There are organizations as small as your local church to national nonprofits that are there to help give you a hand up when you need it. The hardest part sometimes is knowing where to look.

That’s why we’ve put together a short list of organizations, both national and in our local Massachusetts area, that may be able to offer help. Though we aren’t affiliated with these organizations, we do hope you find this to be a useful and helpful guide.

2. State programs

There are many state programs available through individual states. Contact your state’s Department of Human Services (also called the Department of Social Services or Health Services).
